Joe L. Martinez

Joe Martinez has over 30 years of industry experience with roles in semiconductor packaging design, manufacturing, and thermal management. He started his career with Motorola Semiconductor designing high-power IGBT power modules and eventually led an international team for the development of multi-chip electronic devices combining power, analog and logic ICs on a single substrate in Munich, Germany.

After Motorola, Joe co-founded a thermal management company for the cooling of high-power inverters used in electric vehicles, space and industrial applications. Just prior to joining Semi-Zabala, he was the Quality Manager for a laser optics company where he revamped the company’s Quality Systems.

Currently, Joe is leading the design and manufacture of Semi-Zavala’s GaN power device packages utilizing advanced materials and processes for high-reliability space applications.
