Semi Zabala Wins the Entrepreneurial Project Award at the 2025 CHIPNATION Awards

At the beginning of December, Gran Canaria hosted a new edition of CHIPNATION, the benchmark event for the Spanish semiconductor industry. Within this framework, the Spanish Association of the Semiconductor Industry (AESEMI) presented the 2025 CHIPNATION Awards, created to recognize talent, innovation, and contributions to the development of the national ecosystem.

This year, Semi Zabala received the Entrepreneurial Project Award, a recognition that reinforces the work we have been carrying out to bring high-performance semiconductor technology to the market—technology capable of operating in extreme environments. For our team, this award represents a strong endorsement of our effort, technological vision, and commitment to driving deep-tech solutions from Spain.

Beyond celebrating this achievement, the event also served as an important forum for reflecting on the future of the sector. Our CFO, Julen Peral, took part in the roundtable on attracting foreign investment, sharing insights alongside José Manuel Rodríguez Ramos, Cosme García Falcón, Pablo Martín Carbajal, and Óscar Chabrera Villarreal. During the discussion, he highlighted three key pillars for gaining the trust of an international fund in a Spanish deep-tech venture: a solid and validated technology, a highly qualified team, and a realistic, scalable business plan.

This recognition not only celebrates the milestones reached in 2025—it also strengthens our commitment to continue growing, innovating, and reinforcing our position within Europe’s semiconductor value chain.
